Dr Bipin Kumar Mishra

Born to an ancestry of Vedic metrical recitation, Dr. Bipin Mishra’s partiality for the style become apparent while he was still a child. His grandfather, the late Pt. Manohar Mishra and parents, Pt. Rajdev Mishra and Amira Mishra, bequeathed to him Mithila’s intellectual richness, a love for Sanskrit, and the family’s long tradition of Stotra Gayan.

Among his first teachers was Pandit Ganesh Kant Thakur of Darbhanga. Thereafter, he also learnt with the Sarangi maestro of the Kashi-Banaras gharana, Pt Hanuman Prasad Mishra, father of legendrt singers Pandit Rajan-Sajan Mishra.

After doing his Masters in Music has worked with several organizations especially in the field of music. He is a very good composer as well as a good theatre artist and done lot of work in this field also. Dr. Mishra has done tremendous work in the field of Music. He is not a good singer of Indian Classical Music as well as a renowned and famous Folk Singer (Maithily) of Mithila. But his speciality is STOTRA GAYAN.

Dr. Bipin Kumar Mishra with the hard word and dedication has reached to new level, new heights. He introduced so many instruments to this format and with his extra ordinary performances all over the world has gain lot of popularity for this very style of music.
